Guardians top prospect to miss one game with a bruised hand

Naylor sustained injury Friday against Marlins

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Bo Naylor, the Cleveland Guardians' top prospect, will miss Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins with a bruised hand.

Naylor was hit by a pitch in Friday's 10-5 loss to the Marlins and left the game in the fifth inning.

X-rays on Naylor's hand were negative, but he is still experiencing soreness.

The Guardians are hoping that Naylor will be able to return to the lineup on Sunday.

Naylor is batting .283 with four home runs and 17 RBIs in 39 games this season.

He is considered one of the top prospects in baseball and is expected to be a key part of the Guardians' future.

In Naylor's absence, the Guardians will likely start Jose Godoy at catcher.

Godoy is batting .235 with two home runs and five RBIs in 20 games this season.
