The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals after a 104-94 win over the Miami Heat in Game 2 on Sunday night. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 24 points, while Jaylen Brown added 22 and Marcus Smart chipped in 20. The Celtics led by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter, but the Heat cut the lead to six with just over three minutes remaining. However, the Celtics made their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Jrue Holiday was a big reason for the Celtics' win, as he finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Holiday was a force on both ends of the court, and he helped the Celtics control the tempo of the game. The Celtics also got a boost from their bench, as Grant Williams and Derrick White combined for 21 points.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler, who finished with 29 points. Bam Adebayo added 21 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced attack.
The Celtics will now have a chance to take a 3-0 lead in the series when they host the Heat in Game 3 on Tuesday night.
